2 Weeks till HIN, figured I'd do a little touch up on my engine / heat shield paint.. but I didn't want to take them off. So here's my brilliant touch up method!

Looks like they've gone up $30 since I purchased them. But if you call them and pay directly through paypal then they give you 5% - 10% off. Here's the link to the front and rear + pads for $280

So as it turns out, the curb and I are becoming mortal enemies. Friday I had another run in with the curb (while texting ofcorse). Got nasty curb rash ALL THE WAY around the lip of my rear passenger rim and halway around the lip of my front passenger rim, as well as on one of the spokes of my front passenger rim. I searched everywhere for touch up paint that matched it, and online for a color code but could find nothing. In desperation, I went to Sherwin Williams Automotive and got them to mix some paint for me to match perfectly. And they did just that.
Started by removing the 2 damaged rims

Spoke damage

Lip damage (Went all the way around the rim!!!)

Sanded the spoke down to the bare metal

Also the lip down to the bare metal

Taped off the Lip

Covered the Spokes

Covered the Tire

In the Process of Covering everything on the rim with the damaged spoke

Then sprayed everything with 3 coats of my $30 can of paint

Finished Lip

It's not perfect, but it SURE AS HECK beets spending $400 on 2 new rims. Good enough for me!

So apparently I lied about not buying anything until I'm comfortable at college next year. I got offered a GREAT deal on something I've secretly always wanted for my car, and I couldn't resist the awesome deal. Some of you will HATE it, some of you will LOVE it. It's a contraversial upgrade. All I know is that I will LOVE it and it will get me TONS of attention at car shows, which is a huge +.
