Vibration at low rpm towards rear?
So I have a TRD exhaust and a few of my hangers are the nice solid poly hangers that come with a Megan exhaust(I couldn't get off a few). When I'm stopped at a light and experience an rpm drop down to 400-500 rpm I get a rattling from the vibration in the back. Anyone else experience this? I check the bolts, everything is tight. Not sure what it could be
Anything is going to vibrate at 400-500 rpm. At that low of rpms you get a lot of vibration in your motor and anything attached to it. Also those polys are going to hold a bit more vibration and transfer it to the hanger rod and then the bottom of your shell. Swap back to your old hangers and you'll see it goes away. Either way you'll be alright.
True, one of the hangers came off no problem, the other seems permanent. Unfortunately, I have on solid, and one is rubber, so I think maybe if I pick up one more Poly hanger, it fill firm it all up? And the vibration is outside, almost sounds like the exhaust is rubbing at the muffler tip against the bumper, however there is about 1/4"+ of clearance.
Maybe as it drops to the lower RPM, the exhaust vibrates and it is just enough to rub the bumper. Who knows.

Honestly I don't think it has anything to do with the poly hangers. I have had three different exhaust setups and all of them used Torque Solution poly hangers from front to back.

There was no difference in vibrations when switching from the OE rubber ones to the TS ones.
I get a vibration in the front of my car when stopped with the car in Drive. I stopped trying to figure it out and realized that I'm driving a Scion. There will always be vibrations and creaks and noises with this car. My driver's seat creaks but only when it's cold outside. It's all good.
