ZeroEyeQueue-Update 7/23/2012 MAF Setup to Speed Density

I thought to myself: I may as well put up pics of the TWM Short Shifter and Cable Bushings, just to be consistent.
Some stuff I picked up today.

Also:
I think its stupid that Scions don't come with a cabin air filter. So...
Lastly:
ACT Clutch Kit:
Heavy Duty Pressure Plate + Spring Centered 6 Pad Disc
It isn't actually listed on their site, but you can call ACT for details on the tC2 kit or even Descendant.
On order. Coming in May 31st. Ordered through Descendant.

Even cheesier, there is no 'tray' like my xB1. So I was not able to fab four of them out of a standard home air filter.
Where did the cable bushings come from, TWM as well? Any difference? Thinking about going with the TRD shifter, not sure if that would preclude using any bushings.

The bushings are TWM as well. Reduces the amount "play", as they call it, within the gears, which is true. I think there a couple write-ups on the TRD Quickshifter kit:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...rd+short+shift
1stOne has put both on his tC. Says the TWM has a better feel, but the TRD has a quicker/easier install and reduces throw about 35% from front to back gears. Either way you're looking at less than 30 minutes for the the install (or longer if you don't know exactly what you're doing).

Ya you can use the TWM bushings with either the TWM shifter or the TRD, so those I think are a must. Shifter wise, personal preference. Both are great and accomplish the same thing, but in different ways with a different feel.

Curious how much you paid for TRD rims. I had a talk with an online Scion rep and he told me they were in the $2100 range and the dealership keeps the stockers. Curious if that is what you found out. It'd be nice to spend $2100 and keep the stockers for winter.

I'll have to find the closing papers, but I'm fairly sure I paid that much and I got to keep the stock rims. I'll get back to you on that.

Go with what you're comfortable with, but I'd recommend getting it online. donsun found it on ebay for less than $20. Dealer quoted me like $45 for the charcoal version.

I found one on TRD Sparks that I might get in a few. I was curious which route IQ went. Thought maybe someone might of had insight against/for ordering online or something, as well. Thanks for the link, Mighty.

I'd go through online orders if I didn't get mine for free. Just go through TRDSparks or something reputable.

^ Yeah, what P said. The dealer wanted for like 50$ or some BS like that. Mine was free of charge after complaints through corporate on defective springs/struts and after 5 visits with no change in the problem. They still haven't fixed the sound. Visit #6 is coming next week, when I reach 3k.

Creaking noise in the front driver's side wheel well. It started after the springs were installed. After 3 visits they replaced the strut. The noise went away for a day, then came back. Now, it only happens when I turn the wheel to the left.
I've gone to them at least 8 times (3 times without appointment) to check is everything is clocked correctly and if everything alignment wise was within spec. They claimed everything is correct and have no idea what the sound could be. Talked to Toyota Corporate a couple times, and they don't have any ideas other than a bad install.
So, as of now, the dealership won't look at it until 3k in miles has been put on the springs. They said after 3k the springs will have fully settled. I called BS and they have yet to fix the creaking (other than stuffing some foam insulation into the sub assembly, idiots).
Frustrated as I am, I'm going to say screw it soon and put the TEIN SSD-p's in probably in July. And, with the turbo going in I doubt they'll even take another glance at my car as warrantied.

The only way the turbo can void your warranty is if it can be proven its installation directly caused a failure of a warranted part. No way to deny a suspension issue because of a turbo you haven't installed yet!
