A cheap free mod, remove the snorkel from the side of the factory airbox. It is not a necessary part of the intake. It's opening is around 2 1/4", the hole in the side of the air box it connects to is much bigger. I could def. hear and feel a slight improvement under hard acceleration. Shifter cable bushings are a cheap easy mod. Still need to put some in myself.

I think you feeling a slight improvement under hard acceleration has to be a placebo effect. I have an actual CAI that is 3" from end to end with a large cone filter and I only feel a slight improvement under acceleration. I'm sure replacing the snorkel does make it louder though.
