Wheel and tire width
Okay, so some might notice that I am asking a few questions around here lately, but you guys will have to bear with me...I am 23 years old, and my new tC2g is the first car I have owned that I am proud of and is the first car I can afford to do work on,
so I have many things planned, a small drop being one and bigger wheels and tires being the other. The thing I have noticed in reading other threads is that people are saying that tire width seems to affect the accuracy of the speedo, i.e. a stock 225 tire will be fine, but a 265 tire will cause the speedo to be off by a couple mph.
I am just not getting this...I can totally see wheel and tire diameter affecting the accuracy of the speedo, but the width of the tread in my mind should not have any affect, unless it is simply a weight issue.
I am sorry if this is newb, but I cant help it, could anyone clarify this for me??

You can plug in tire sizes and see how they'll affect your speedo.
