alex so which ones did u want to get? staggered?

John, y do u want me calculating stuff when u already got the rims on and they r poking since you got a 9.1cm front space.

as for tires:
go to http://www.1010tires.com/tiresizecalculator.asp and calculate the tire u need to keep the same rolling diameter. its hard to tell if rubber will rub because pressure varies with temp and load. you have the wheels on right now so you can eye ball/measure how close u r to rubbing.

or just roll fenders! that's what im planing on doing on mine

XD9 18"x9 +30 offset all around. I'll also probably get meatier tires since DC doesn't have the best roads.

What would be the best tire to stay within 3% of the original diameter?

it seems that the best would be 245/40/18 to be within 1.01% of the original diameter

with those wheels you will have 8.4cm front space

u need to ~7.1-7.3 to flush fronts on TRDs with Auto(auto adds 100lbs which means u need a milimeter or 2 more to flush as apposed to manual)

8.1-8.4 to flush rears

take a look at ZeroEye build, he is on TRDs and has 8.4cm front space in the front.

and btw this thread https://www.scionlife.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=209838
was created specifically for figuring if wheels fit or how flush

Agreed on the 245/40/18 tires, donn't go any lower on offset though. That is a pretty fat tire, it would be very close to rubbing on harsh bumps and such. That width, offset and tire size combined with your drop will look sweet. It will give you just enough clearance if you want a bit bigger tire or more low later on.

Just called my distributor and will be putting them on order soon.

@scion202 what can I do to be more flush? I'm not using spacers

you will be poking a bit in the fronts and flush in the rear as it is. if you wanna poke in the rear then use 3-5mm pacers

I think thats the look im going for. The car is wider in the back anyway. If I ever get the 5-axis kit, then the lip/ sideskirt combination won't make it seem like its poking out as much. How much do you expect it to poke out of the front?

it will depend on the tire size. but as far as the rim goes, it will be anywhere from 0.7 to 1cm. ask ZeroEye for a picture of his front it should be the same within a millimeter or 2

245/40/18...not sacrificing too much profile for added width. 1cm is not much to worry about.

ok. I'll just buy the work ones then. How agressive is 18x9.5 +38. I don't want my wheels poking out, but thats the size I found a good deal on.
