Default Do JDM ist Headlights fit the xA?

Does anyone know if it's possible to purchase JDM headlights to install in an '06 xA?

Um, no that's incorrect! I mean maybe for the headlights since I don't know about them but the front bumpers are different and some other parts. You can end up spending a bunch of cash and months of waiting for parts you think will fit but do not.

Just be careful.

note that the ist is right hand drive so the light pattern is biased toward the left (their curbs)...meaning that you will blind on-coming traffic much more.

it's not really a matter of re-aiming your headlights, the cutoff pattern is like this:

\__..\__

for RHD headlights, you'd have to aim them pretty low as to not blind oncoming traffic at which point your headlights would be useless in terms if road illumination at night, or at the very least, greatly diminished, but I guess with some it's fashion over form.

You could probably trim the cutoff plate in the headlight to take the pattern from:

\__..\__

to

___..___

but if you screw up then you just ruined your headlight

I know it was a risky thing Subie owners did with JDM projectors before the EDM projectors were more widely available.

no it is not a realignment problem. the pattern is different. there is more light shining toward the curb than the road on the light housing closest to the curb (this applied to either rhd or lhd). if you tried to compensate by aiming it low, the light projection would be useless.

i.e. look at your light, the right hand housing shines more light toward the curb. this would be opposite for rhd. so if you use it in a lhd world, you shines light on incoming traffic.
