Default Updated Pics---Stubby Antenna---Finally

Ok so after a full year of people asking when I was giong to take off the RC car antenna and get a stub, I finally ebay'd one. Below is a link to it from the same seller that I got mine from. Fitment is excellent. The base size matches up to the antenna as close to prefect as I could have hoped for in an aftermarket antenna. I'm clueless on reception yet because the car is parked in my basement and it's falling a flood here in North GA tonight. Can't say that I would mind much if the reception isn't optimal since I listen to Sirius about 99.9999999999999% of the time.

I deffinitely recommend the fitment. If anyone cares, then I can post on the reception in a week or so.

I like the color match on shark fins, but not a fan of the style. Wish my nav and sirius antenna's were color matched.

Please post us up a pic...it looks like a good stubby...and let us know how the reception is...

I am a fan of the fin, but the reception could be a bit better.....but that's why I got a 6 disc changer......

It's a dark forest green color. Not a new one of course....a '94 Laredo 4x4 with I6. Bought it to play in the woods and offroad with. Gonna go the cheap route and do a BB 2.25" lift with 31x10.50's.

Here are some pics. I'm not a photographer, so if the pics suck then it's expected with my photo abilities. The car really needed to be moved for better lighting, but this will work..........if I get the links posted up correctly. There is only a minor gap between the bottom of the stubby and the base, but the diameter flows extremely well down to the base.

No info on reception yet. I will be driving it all week, so will post back maybe next weekend.

GC in pic #4. The budget lift is on it's way with Rubicon Express twin tube shocks. Waiting on a guy down in Macon to get ready to sell his BFG All Terrain T/A KO 31x10.50x15's. If he doesn't back out, he's got five with less than 5k miles that he's going to sell me for $350 for all. Probably going to end up putting Cragar Soft 8's in 15x8 with 4" backspacing on it.

it still looks long. i think they should have not put the antennae on the top, should of been on the inside window like the xb, so u can go into car washers.

Leroy, it sure looks more to scale than the stocker!

Nice shot of the GC...and good luck with the tire purchase!

Reception seems to be pretty much the same as stock. Since I've been listening to Sirius for about a month straight, then I can't really compare it 100%, but all the stations are very clear for me.

Nah, no glue. Just screwed on. The stub theives don't seem terrible bad around here.

On the installation, make sure that you install the stud provided with the antenna into the base on the car first. With the hex key opening on top. Then screw the antenna onto that.
