But will I be swearing when I need power?!
I am constantly throwing out the "F" word in my CR-V when I need oomph to pass.
I laughed when I read your post, cause earlier today, I parked right next to an '04 Corolla S. And, my Scion dealer had given me the same car as a rental while I had a dealer related door ding, repaired. So, I am familiar with both cars.

Hands down, the Scion XA just looks better. The Corolla S looks like 20 other cars. Yes, it has more passing power, but my XA Auto with the AEM COI does just fine on the freeway.

It's kinda hard, I know, because the Corolla is such a dependable car, and it does come comparably priced as the XA. But, I think you'll smile more in a SCION :D

I just don't want to be disappointed later on if I buy an xA. My automatic 126-hp CR-V must take 11-12 seconds to reach 60 mph.

Am I crazy?
what about the corolla xrs which will be here soon?
Will it come with a automatic? Because that is what I need.

Default The automatic won't disappoint

i test drove both the manual and the automatic Xa because i was afraid that the automatic wouldn't be powerful enough.

i have to say there is very little difference IMO.

i chose the automatic becaue i commute 100+ miles a day, so for me the slight power difference was not worth the extra torture of stop and go traffic
