First long road trip- FL
Just got back from the first long road trip since changing to my 17" wheels and loaded with suitcases and 3 people she road fine. We averaged 31mpg from Baltimore to Orlando and back. I was running about 80 most of the way and that killed my mpg. but it was a fair trade off to get us there quicker. B
She rides fine on the highway. My complaint with ride is only on pothole ridden surface streets and occasionally on uneven concrete roads. You know, the ones with a slight crown in each section. I got some Monroes for Christmas so I will be seeing for myself if they smooth out the ride some. b
That looks like a great road to drift. Thats the fun of a fwd car, if its a slight curve, you can drift it with no fear of wiping out.

I've done PA to GA, and PA to NC multiple times in my car, slammed on coilovers and loaded with luggage.
My friends didn't like the ride much, but I don't mind it. I averaged 35 MPG on my last trip down south. Keeping it at 69-70 MPH is the sweet spot for MPG on long trips.

Yeah, I usually run about 70 mph and get 35 mpg. We were in a hurry this time so I was pusshing it. On the way back I was sick and was just trying to get home. I wound up avaeraging 31.5 mpg and it cost us $102 roundtrip from baltimore to Disney world. Not bad. B
