Default Funky cut outs on the xA?

Hi all,

First post for me whoo hoo. Anyway I am very much leaning towards an xA but I have a question. During my test drive and looking at the car I noticed a funky looking cutout next to the holes for the fog lights on the right hand side looking at the front; on the front grill. All the xA's there had them, it looks sort of like a cut out that was has a cover now. Is that normal and does anything go there?

That is where a tow hook is screwed in if you need it.

Oh ok. I just noticed it when I was there. It just looked out of place, like the car was unfinished or something. Plus the saleperson had no idea

Yah, its the cover for the tow hook. I wanted to take the cover off, but its attached. I think it would look better with the cover off. :D

I don't really know but I am guessing a tow hook is what the need to use when they tow your car for whatever reason? I know master of the obvious here haha

haha hardly! well.. not you got me thinking to fashion some kind of spear-like piece to actually tease ppl...

actually ppl, i think this tow hook is to ratchet the car down to the floor... say, on a ship for transif from japan to the US. With the hook not being centered on the car, it would take alot of torque to pull the car around, plus, its just one bolt thats lightly threaded..
