Default Head Unit Upgrade - Newer into a 2005?

Hello

Was wondering if anybody had tried to put the newer, improved head into a car that came with the older, craptacular model. I imagine there'd be a connector issue, but hoping there wasn't.

Thanks,
Rolfsy

Connectors should be good to go with no problems. Of course you would not have steering wheel controls, but that would be the only thing.

I second that. If it comes with the cables or if u can get them sepretly u can add the aux input and ipod connectors.

I put the 06 xA HU in my 05 over a year ago if that's what your asking....direct plug and play but,as others said,no steering controls(obviously) and no Aux/Ipod input. Also I found that the 04-05 models had better sound for some reason.

Did you set the SSP for your model?

I always have SSP set to feel...as for the EQ...it's set to xA.
The 2 HU's do have a different sound though.
