Question I need some more sound in my xA

Hey guys,
I bought a 2006 xA from someone last summer and after driving it around for the last 6 months I've decided I want to get a little bit better of a system in there. I'm not really sure where to start looking or what to look for but I want to get some thumping bass and bring the volume up. Any ideas?

X2 on Crutchfield they have everything and even send you installation instructions for your exact car. Start with a nice receiver and then go from there. You'll be amazed at what just a receiver will do.

Yeah def check out crutchfield that's where I got my headunit. I would say get a head unit probally something with a iPod hook up. I would def look for one where the iPod USB cable connects in the back so it gives you a more clean look rather having that cord Sticking out. After that def upgrade your door speakers. Than grab a amp and sub to complete the sound. That's the pretty basic set up to start with. In my xA I changed all my door speakers and added two in hatch and c pillars. I run all those off a amp. I also have one 12" sub running off another amp.

Where were the amps and sub placed? Were they mounted to the back of the rear seats?

I'd say amps are best under the driver/passenger seats (its a middle grounds of sorts, between the receiver and other speakers.....

Do a head unit first, its easier to run amps later with and aftermarket h/u and the amp within the headunit is still much better than the stock unit. The only thing I don't like about amps under the front seats is the extra heat they are subjected to. That said, both of mine ended up there anyways.:D

you know if u hold the SSP button u can switch between neautral, hear, and feel. which adds a big difference in the sound system. also u can switch between which car system u listen to. like to tC system or xA or xB. i think its the audio button. u press and hold for a few seconds
