Its a 2005 production. Underpinnings really didnt change from what I can tell. I don't think N/A will get this one for a while. Canada doesnt seem to be getting this bad boy.

hey. . . maybe this was the car that was all camoflaged from that post a few weeks back? This car definitely incorporates a LOT of ist/xA styling, most notably the rear window, side profile, and hood shapes.

Yeah. . . I guess I'm one of the few peeps happy with this motor the way it is. I like the price I paid. . . it was that or keep repairing my Lex, or buy a Kia. Bleck!

Golf Damn It!
Auto Week
"Press calls the Echo "a hole in our portfolio." He said the next Echo will do
a better job than the current Echo of keeping Toyota's share of mind among budget-conscious consumers.
A product planning source said the next generation, due in fall 2005, will come as a three-door hatchback and a sedan and may not retain its name."

Now I don't know if I should get an xA or wait for the new Vitz.

They stopped making the Echo when the xA was released here in the States. It doesn't make sense to me that they'd bring back the Echo when the whole goal of the Scion marque is to draw the attention of the youth/style-oriented demographic. Toyota would be competing with itself having the Echo and xA out there...
