yep, ife got all the paperwork done and I thought I was there to co-sign on the daughter's tC, the sales chick slid me a set of keys and I said, "I don't need a set of keys to her car...." That's when the wife just busted....

I said "Well, would it hurt if I took it around the block first?"

I told her a few days earlier I found the car I wanted, she thought I had driven it......

LOL...that's funny. Come to think of it, I'm not 100% sure I drove mine either. I did drive an xA, but it wasn't the one they ordered in for me. I went to get my car over my lunch hour, so I was probably like, "just show me where to sign so I can leave".

Well, I got a like...5% discount for my insurance form the side airbags. Since I'm a young male driver...5% ends up adding to a nice amount over a few years. Basically the side bags pay for themselves because they'll end up saving me money. On the color I gave them 3 different ones, well actually 4. I just told them no white, and no silver. I did tell them that Flint Mica was my first choice, but that if I could get any other one faster, I'd take it.

Problem with searching is, I live on the coast. So we can only really search a few ways out, not in a full circle. I'm pretty sure I'd be able to find ONE in Houston, but I dont really feel like fighting for one.

When I started reading stuff on here about how long it took, I pretty much had the idea it would take longer. So I wasnt totally surprised.

Maybe they just told me the 24th so I would get hooked into buying. We only put $500 down to like, get the paperwork started and stuff. But, it just sucks because I sold my other car, so I'm riding my bike and walking everywhere. Not too bad though...maybe I'll lose weight.

You aint lying about that. Plus, we got some high humidity. Its a killer. My A/C went out on my first car, during summer, so that was even worse. But now thats just a show car, so I could care less about A/C in it. When I was in the xA though, that lil A/C was kickin!

They told me it was in port yesterday, so they said it would be around 5-7 days until it gets here. Still waiting.

KLoLo, got a couple questions? Did you trade in your old car on the xA? If so, they should have let you continue driving it till the xA came in.
Since you are in college are you getting that discout offered by Scion?
Hope you get it soon. I had to wait 6 weeks for my toaster so I feel your paing Bro! Good luck and keep us posted when you get it. Peace. Jeff

Nah, my car was kind of old, so I sold it myself so I can get more money.

Um...I didnt know that Scion had a discount for college kids, how does that go about. We told my dealer I was going off to school, but he never said anything about it.

Don't hate me, KLoLo!

My dealer called to say my car is in! They just need to install the armrest. I'm supposed to be able to pick it up tomorrow after work.

I'm freaking out because when I placed the order on August 7, he said six weeks. He called a week and a half later to say three weeks. And here it is a week and a half after that, and it's here! So three weeks total. I'm so excited!

Hang in there! And please don't hate me! ;)

You have to either call Scion direct or go to the Scion website. There should be a link to find out more about it. I remember it being something like 400 bucks.
