Default Remote Key Programming problem..

My 2006 xA never came with a remote so I ordered one from remotesremotes.com

and I followed the programming instructions and it does not work, I did it about 4 times to make sure.

Anyone have this problem?

Default Remote

I know it’s been a long time since you posted this, I see no one responded, but I just had the same issue, and now my door lock buttons in the car quit working after I tried to program the remote...wondering if you ever got yours figured out and how? Thanks for any help you can offer

Ridiculous story and prolly a waste of time but you never know....
I ordered a 2004 xB ECD (Electrical Circuits Diagram) book and a package comes from the seller so I open it and dig right in looking for the schematic for the Remote Entry gizmo because I am curious where the ANTENNA for it is.

I look and look and look and CANNOT find anything like that in the book! I can find a Door Lock Control schematic. Then I GLANCE AT THE COVER, and what I have is a 2004 xA ECD Book!
The guy refunds me and lets me keep the xA book.

I eventually get a real 2004 xB ECD book, and it has a section called Door Lock Control and another section called Wireless Door Lock Control.

Hence, I conclude that the 2004 xA did not come with the Wireless Door Lock feature.

Anyone know for sure if the 2006 xA did?

( further I bought 2 cheap wireless unlockers for the xB, one programmed and one DID NOT).

WATCH OUT for YouTube programming instructions that DON'T APPLY. I tried some for Toyota that looked good but did not work.
I then found the instructions here on Scionlife in the sticky post and they worked for me.

Just my 2 cents!

The Scion xA did not come standard with keyless entry. I pretty sure it was a dealer add on (Scion Security)
