RKE Factory Security Problem

RKE Factory Security Problem
I bought a RKE Factory Keyless Entry/Security system from a local Scion owner and has it installed yesterday. The shop guy told me that the remotes aren't communicating with the main box. Is this something that Scion/Toyota dealerships could re-program? I would hate to think that it will not work at all. The shop said the remotes are usually already encrypted for the main unit, but these are not.
I just bought my 2006 xA an I love it, but I want to protect it.

Yeah, the remotes should have been pre-programed to work with your unit. When I installed mine they worked strait out of the box. Check and make sure that battery is ok(there should be a little light when u press a button).
Use the instructions that 06xb30 gave you to see if you can reprogram your remotes. Also, if you do get it to work, you can find more programing stuff here... https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=35138
