my front bumper is just like yours, misaligned on the right side.

my headlights are also dim. I'm guessing it's how the electrical is setup to have too long of a power wire to the headlights leading quite a bit of voltage drop and thus losing output.
One thing you can do is to buy those Silvanias bulbs from most major chain autopart store. It's the ones that cost 40-50 dollars and comes in a fancy well packaged case.
What ever you do, please do not buy HID kits. They will only blind oncoming drivers.

the only noticable problem i've has just recently is a little squeal from my engine. might me the belt.

Not so much a problem as it is a slight issue... but the steering wheel buttons are a LOT dimmer than the stereo and HVAC... and the "AUTO" button for the driver's side window glows, but you can barely see it... even in complete darkness.

Issue

The dash material blows. I purchased a Turtle Wax dash sponge to grab the dust and the texture of the dash ripped the sponge to shreds...! It gets dusty easily and it's near impossible to clean because of the texture... even lint free cloths leave something behind!

What do you guys use to clean and treat the dash...?

Problem

Right side of bumper is slightly ill-fitting... where the bumper meets the wheel arches on the side of the car... there's a slight gap and is not flush like the other side...

Is this a problem that the dealership will take care of...?

Problem

Ground my gears trying to get into reverse (it's sloppy). Ground my gears a few times trying to downshift from fifth to fourth.

Anyone else experiencing this...?

Problem

Sometimes there's no power or boost in power after I upshift... the gas pedal gets firmer and more resistant... but little power delivery. Happened 3 or 4 times so far.

What do you think could be the problem...? Clutch...?!

Problem

The headlight beams have VERY little reach...! And on the highway, I can see EXACTLY where the light reaches. It let's me see maybe 20 feet in front of me and that's it. It ends abrupty... no vanishing point. Exit signs pop up quickly...! And the lights don't illuminate the highway signs...! Very dangerous! Going 40, I've always had to break abruptly for pedestrians because I don't see them till near the end...

Did the service department not adjust them when I took delivery?

I see this is a little old but still throw in some insight. The wheel controls are dim thats why I'm going to have someone put new leds in there. The dash is wierd but after drying the outside with a microfiber cloth i wipe the inside off because its fairly damp and works like a charm. when reversing sometimes i will notice it catch and make alot of noise which is wierd because the car isnt moving and the engine is at idle. In reference to the headlights...thats why I bought HID's

I have seen some that yes do blind people and others that dont. It depends how the glare is and how they are aimed. HID's FTW

I wouldn't super glue that if I were you. If ever you want to replace the stereo head unit etc, you need to remove that long silver piece in order to access two screws that hold the center console in place. The long silver part is only held in place by some plastic snaps, so try just pushing it back in if it's loose.

notice I said HID Kits
HID FTW only if it is a proper retrofit with OEM HID projectors.

oook well I said HID's ftw I meant the kits also considering you cant just throw the bulbs in there with the kit....but to each his own.

This is just my opinion, but problems that you can't fix yourself, easily, should be pointed out to the dealer. That is what the 3/36 warranty is for. I know how it is with your first new car. My first brand new one was a Matrix in '05 and I would have said the same thing. One door leaked, one held water, and the horn stopped working, and had an intermittent starting problem. All in the first month, which made me worry about reliability. Window molding replacement fixed the leaking problem, but had to be replaced again in the future. Door holding water had tape over the drainage holes. Horn was improper wiring. ECU software problem on the starting. After that the car was great! Just took getting the bugs worked out. Moral is, if you have a problem take it in. Thats what they are there for.

As far as the xA. Knock on wood. I would say the build quality is a hundred times better! Bought it with 26k in March and now have 45k on it and I would say it runs the same as the day I bought it. (with the exception of some things from a *minor* ;-) accident I had in it.)
