Default Uh...what was supposed to come with my xA?

Yea, I know I've had the car for about 3 months but I've gotten zero feedback from the dealer I bought the car from, and I want to get info from other Scion owners in regards to what "stuff" came with the car.

OK, I think I was supposed to get some Scion CD Sampler... I received a letter from Scion telling me I can place the CD in my glove box in my computer...all I thought was "what CD?"
Anyway, I really don't see that as justification to drive 30 miles to the dealer I got the car from to complain (especially since it's out of the way and I don't ever have a reason to drive to Visalia).

...I don't really plan on using XM Radio, but I never got my free activation code, and they are clueless at the dealership about that (I called them twice about it and they said they didn't know)...so I'm thinking maybe going there in person would help?

My sister's boyfriend had a Scion messenger bag in their apartment...I did a google search and saw it was only for recall-affected tC's...right?

I'm just curious if I'm missing anything I'm supposed to have. They also owe me a manual for my head unit that they said they mailed out about a month ago...nothing yet =\

And just for reference, here's what I got with my RS3 xA:
-3 keys and 2 alarm fobs.
-Scion owner's manual/first aid kit.
-Alarm manual.
-XM Ad (mentioning the dealer promo code...heh)

Yea, it comes with a CD that I have yet to put in my computer. Also an IPOD/Cell holder for your cup holder.

I got a keychain too, but that's from my dealer.

Hmm...ok... Well I don't think it's worth it to drive the 30 miles then... =\

I still have an issue to sort out with my xm activation and 3 free months though.

the cd just hits the high spots in the owner's manual... not worth the trip, not worth the wear and tear on the puter....

You might come out better by calling XM (or should it be xM?) and maybe they can help more than the dealer...

I never got my CD Sampler too! And my dealer is in a different city. Only reason I found out about is because my friend told me about it. My car came with the Manual/Warrenty/Service Info/CD player manual/First Aid and 3 keys.

The XM thing only comes if you ordered the XM add-on with you car. In the CD player manual it tells you how to set xm up.

BTW, if you want the CD Player manual in PDF format. Scion offers it for free here: http://www.scion.com/#referenceGuides.html

My salesman had the 90 day trial xm already set up when I picked up my car. I didn't think I wanted it either but I'm pretty addicted now.

Guess I was lucky. I got the cd, health kit, tons of manuals, paper work, cup holder for ipod and a thing for 3 free oil changes and three keys. I was missing a cabin filter and thought I was missing part of my jack assembly when I had a flat, but it was stuck to the back of the lid to the spare tire area. Still the car felt rather bare with no floor mats and the dealer wanting to sell me everything from scion performance parts from the parts dept, different brochures and the scion website.

I tried calling xm twice...first time I was on hold for 20 minutes and the second time they told me I needed to speak with the dealer to get my promo code...

No biggie, my girlfriend had xm and I really couldn't find much I liked...I just kinda wish I had it activated so if I wanted to use it for whatever reason, I could.

I still want that messenger bag tC owners got for that recall!

first aid kit's really just a pair of gauze scissors, some gauze, bandages, sterile wipes, and a pamphlet with some "how-tos." Granted, it's nice to have some bandages with ya...but places like target/wal-mart/etc sell some more comprehensive first-aid kits. It's just this one fits nicely in your owner's manual binder.

...But hey I'll trade you my first-aid kit for one of them beanies.

I got the oil changes, too. Everybody should have since it actually comes in the user manual. As for the keychain and the beany, I got neither. Wouldn't have minded getting them with the car, though.

Have the people who are saying they didn't get their first aid kit and CD looked in the binder with the Owner's Manual? My binder has a bunch of stuff including the First Aid Kit and a CD. I never really looked at them (I'm sure they are worthless).

Man when I first saw the first aid kit I chuckled, thinking what the hell good is that for when I am driving, if I need medical attention I don't think the 3 inch band-aid is going to help!!? Well we have used it about 5 times, for us andothers,,,,actually good thing to have you neverknow when you may need a band-aid, some scissors...etc.! LOL

My mercedes had a small kit too that was just the basics for like a paper cut. I dont know if its required for a car, but the commercials trucks where I work they come with a 40 dollar first aid kit, fire extinguisher and safety triangles. Ive read and looked through all my info. The only notiable thing is it seems they dont want you to idl the car to warm it up.

LOL, you're on! Ya want the black one or the gray one? Keep the first aid kit and make it an IST badge and I'll give ya both of the beanies, lol.

Yeah I totally hear ya about the dealership being clueless.... I bought my xA back in 2004 ....granted i had to drive a state away...because they weren't yet available in New Mexico.... the dealership was a total joke.... to try to get anything out of them was like pullin teeth...____ i didn't even get a keychain!!! I had to steal a pen!!! I now take my baby over to Las Cruces Toyota who have totally changed my mind about dealerships....they take good care of me and my baby..... hell i didn't even buy my car there and they gave me keychains, got me hooked up with my now...best friend who owns an xB.... and now an xB2......and also was totally cool when i was looking for a truck to pull my camper.....yes I also purchased an 03 Toyota Tundra SR5.... my second baby!!! but yeah.... not all dealerships are the same....I'm just glad i found Mine!!!

Look behind the glove compartment that should has a useless CD. A dealer quoted me $45 to install an air filter that I found missing after a couple of month there. The reason was the manufacturer discontinued supplying of the filters in the car. Is it true? Does anyone get their XA with an air filter installed?
