Default Water Problem

So I was driving the XA the other day and I noticed as soon as I got in, a bad smell. Like wet dog. After closer inspection I noticed a puddle of water that had gathered under the glove compartment on the passenger side floorboard. Additionally I keep hearing a whining/hissing coming from that area when I accelerate. Does anyone have a clue as to what the problem might be?

take it to a dealer. There's probably something going on with your climate control.
If it were an older car I'd tell them their Heater Core is busted; those used to be behind the glove box

You can easily pull the glove box out with an upward tug, I dont really know of anything behind it that might cause that?

i can ASSURE you its the condensation from A/C not getting correctly routed out of the car, this is a reocurring problem in many cars. You will have to go to a mechanic because removing your dash is a really time-taking, not to mention annoying, process. It might be your blower that isnt correctly sealed or your A/C condensation is dripping INTO your car.

I have a simple test for you, use your car one whole day and check underneath if you have a puddle of water from where the A/C drains from. There is usually a rubber hose that guides this water throught he A/C to the bottom of the car. It should be too hard to spot considering it looks like an unconnected hose. This is found on the right side of the car behind the front lower control arm. Check it out and if its dry as a bone than one know all the water that is supposed to be led out of your car instead its going into your car. Its an annoying problem, i know its ahppened to me in other cars.

"Those japs" got the rest of the car right, didn't they? That was probably a joke though, wasn't it?

one istER here got his ride filled with water too one morning... apparently like u said there is a a/c tube running at the passenger side...if ur passenger have pretty long legs (wooohooo!! a plus if its smooth too!).....anyway... if she/he accidentally kick the hose u will get a mini pool.... so tell ur passenger sit still!..
