When is IIP not IIP?
Sorry for being less than clear. I just received the title to our IIP xA, and in the color box, it's marked "purple." I'll contact the dealer to see what they can do to correct it.
If the info was relayed verbally, I could see where "indigo ink pearl" might be misheard as purple. Either that or a state clerk got the designer color name and guessed purple, not knowing that indigo is a type of blue.

There are only certain colors available for title...for example, a friend's very beige Jeep is listed as silver, and a copperish colored ford is red on the title and brown on a parking ticket. There's far too many variations on color, so there are only certain ones...it's possible that IIP is in fact a color that falls into the "purple" section, illogical though that might be.

Toyota dealer: Hello, Maplewood Toyota - Scion. How may I help you?
State Worker: Hi, this is Mrs. Smith from the Wisconsin D.O.T.. I'm processing a title for a car bought from your dealership and I have a question. Under Color, this Scion xA is listed as Indigo Ink Peral. My form doesn't even have room for that. Can you describe that color to me?
Toyota dealer: Hehe...yeah, it's kind of a purpleish blue.
State Worker:Purple it is....thanks.
