Well, I finally got my car this passed monday and everything was going great. Went to a concert at Shorline Amphitheatre (Mountain View, CA), and got back to the parking lot to realize my car had been damaged. Some drunk people threw something at my front windshield and completely destroyed it. There were even footprints on my hood! I could not believe someone would do this. There were beer bottles and broken glass all over the place.

The questions I have are : Should I have the dealer or a glass shop replace the window?
Any ideas how much a new window costs?

(Sad I know, but I'm not too angry about it, it's a window, and I have good insurance, and that's all that was damaged-the nerve of some people!)

 

The dealer will charge you more and they will farm out the work to another company anyway. Get a name from your insurance company--that usually guarantys the work. Very frustrating I am sure!!
