Default xA thumping turning left

I have a 2006 xA. It's been bullet proof until lately. It is not lowered or raised or anything. But when driving I hear a rapid thumping noise when turning to the left. Even a slight turn in the road to the left, it thumps. It seems to be getting louder each day. Help? Thanks all....mw

Default UPDATE

Had other issues with other car....now back to Scion. I drove it today. Makes almost no noise turning left now, most noise when wheel turned to right. Feel slight "turbulence" in steering wheel. Also feel it when slowing down, and hear like a clunking sound from wheel area, like if you had something stuck to your tire and it was slapping the side of the car while it rotated.
Still axles? Wondering why no noise on left turns now. Thanks folks

Default close....

lug studs. One was sheared off apparently. Right front. Then another. (leaving two) Original owner put after market rims on it. Now the shop is telling me wrong lugs were used.

Glad you figured it out.

This serves as a good example of why it's difficult to diagnose cars online. The symptoms you showed were telltale of a bad axle. Alas, that was not the case.
