It has over 300,000 miles so I'm not sure putting more money into it is worth it, but I'd like some opinions first. It was running fine because I just changed the plugs and coil packs then the check engine light came on during my commute.
I was going to check it the next day but when I tried it in the morning I got nothing. No crank, no headlights, no radio, no brake lights, dash lights did come on. Battery is good but was dead; charging did not help situation.

I can't get it to shift into Neutral. Checked every fuse, they're all good. No idea what to do.

I had a similar issue when I relocated my battery in my 05 xA the issue may be a Ground problem. The Ground cable for the battery (if it's in its original location) should split off to 2 points
one on the core support and one on the transmission mount (if memory serves) if one of those aren't making a good connection it could lead to that issue.

Consider a battery and alternator test. AutoZone will do it for no charge.
