so on my way out to palm desert today i got my xb up to 125 on the freeway. I was under the impression that the governor stopped the xb at like 105 or 110. But oh well right.! It felt super good to. With all the suspension mods and bigger tires it wasn't shaky at all. Felt real good!

i was afriad if i went any faster my car would hit hyper speed and break into the space time continuum. muah ah ah

No governor it is limited by gearing and wind resistance.
I took it to 85 once.

since the speedo is off , by alot at speeds over 75 are you sure it was that fast? I know that the scan gauges can be off as well.

I was very surprised when my 2nd Gen Xb hit 121, it felt very stable down the 405 going to San Diego.

 

85mph!!!!!!!!!! Damn thats what the speed of traffic is in nor cal. 130mph in the tc is what i go it up to.

 

i got mine to 115, it was sweet. ive done alot of suspetion stuff, my front is just over 1/2 inch lower then my rear.it handeled very well.

my speedo shows 135 and is dead on.


it doent look like that anymore, the needle and the housing is now PW to match my box.

I was cruisin' down the highway at 100 (indicated) on Saturday for about 10 minutes or so and when I slowed down, I realized that the front (curved part) of my knock-off eSam ventvisors had pulled away from the window. I reached out the windows and stuck 'em back on with my fingers and they've stayed there ever since, but I'm not sure I'll be hitting a hundred much anymore. It wasn't even a hot day!

 

I thought the governors kicked in at 127.

 

no governor, They are mechanically limited at 136 MPH. Ive hit 117.

so today on my way back from the desert i was driving next to my brothers wife. i had her on the phone, i matched my speedo up with hers and its pretty dead on. We got up to 95 and we where still together going the same. I don't think my speedo is off at all... and if it is it might only be one or two miles per hour.

you dont need down hill either. I was on a flat as all hell road out in the desert with a forward facing wind hitting me dead on. IT didnt take me long either.

 

i've hit 105 stock and i wouldn't wanna push it any mroe than that.
