Default 4AGE questions...

1. Was this motor used in any FWD applications? if so....

2. What (besides mountsand wiring) would it take to make this a successful swap?

3. Would this mount to the 1nzfe tranny without extensive modification?

4. I'm also not sure if the 4AGE uses a cable driven throttle or if it is electronically controlled. If it turns out to be cable, how hard is the conversion?

If I can think of anything else to ask, I'll post later...

2. Frame cutting.

Also, keep in mind that this motor is OBD0 and that your car will not smog, which you probably dont care about if you plan to swap anyways

alot of small towns across the us have no smog at all . lucky bastards , lol in ca the motor has to be the same model year or newer. so a 05+ 1zz is gonna be a hard find for me.i'll find it eventually.

15 year old motor in a brand new car. I'd get something more recent.

Not knocking the 4AGE btw, that's what my other car has. ;)

i think the reason people are considering the 4ag is that it is small, powerful, and one of toyotas strongest built engine. the last of the true iron blocks. plus its cheap in comparison to the 2zz.

also, the amount of time it has been out also proves the reliability and the aftermarket support that it has. and the amount of modifications you can do and the parts available are much greater than that of the 1zz or 2zz
