You mean it ends up looking like this?

And remember it also gets hotter as it gets compressed in the cylider.

And with the melt down of the exhaust manifold, be it header or stock, the melting starts whenever it gets hit first with the heat ( usually first obstruction in flow, could be a burr or slag inside.

First I will say the Germans used it in thier planes in WWII. If it was so bad why did Great Britian jump on the band wagon? Also, the compression and ignition IS when it gets hot. Not on the way in. LOL The intial shot into the intake system actuall drops the intake temp down 75 F. No wonder nitrous gets a bad rap. People put 100 shots or more on an engine that cant handle. And if you did that to a forged piston, something was wrong. They dont make anything better than that for most engines. I guess my question is this. Has anybody wrecked their 1.5 from useing nitrous, and what happened?

Yeah we kinda figured something was amiss, That was a fun few seconds, and is wasn't with a very big shot of juice.
Some were wondering what could happen, there it is. we all ocasionally want a do over, that was one of ours.

It is safe, like everything else when used in moderation.

Toyota designed the engine for economy, hence the offset of bore to crank, not raw power.

how does that help economy? I thought it just help reduce piston slap? I will admit I know mechanics, but the offset thing throws me for a loop.

ZEX wet system, safest and as you know from your experience, easiest to use.

i have been into mechanics since i was a wee kid.

but nos is a whole new area for me

i want to run it in my xA

at the begining of this it was said dry was safe but now i read that wet is safest

if i was to run a basic dry fogger kit

what would be the out come?
from my understanding its a 35 shot
and here it says 35 is safe

is it still gonna screw up my heads if i run a 35 dry?
and whats this cold plug thing?

what plugs would be cold ????

?=/?

Ok would it be ok to run a dry kit wiht a 35 shot in it? I acquired a dry zex kit . It has the intake filter that you can spray the n2o into.
I figure if it's not ok to use I guess I could just use it for the purge?

You won't see the all the gains from a dry system as you would with a wet.

Make sure if you do run dry, upgrade to mid or higher grade gas, and 1 step colder on the plugs. Keep the nozzle at least 6" no farther than 8"in front of the MAF sensor, by doing this the colder NO2 will richen up the mix a little.

Pistons are expensive to replace, take my word on that ( you can see them in the pics)

It looks like I was wrong it was not a zex dry kit . I found out that my friend wants to trade me a NX wet kit. ANyway before I get this kit. is it safe to run on the box? If I'm correct it has a 50 shot in it? ALso is there anything special that I have to do to make the it run right on the box?
