Default aem INTAKE

Is the non dealer AEM cold air intake a good product? anyone have it? i want to get it because it one of the only intake where the breather is after the maf SENSOR. What do you all think?

Its the same intake ... There is only one AEM Cold Air Intake ...

I think they did make a second version. I think hotbox05 is running it...

Are you talking about the AEM V2 ... I didn't think they made one for the Scion ...

It's different I believe. One is available from the dealer (for xA & xB) and the other was released from AEM not too long ago (Part No. 21-567 still pending CARB for 2005).

It is different the dealer only intake is the snail intake that wraps down under the front bumper supports the aftermarket termed as a cold air is a mix between a cold air and a short ram I call it the AEM "L" pipe. it gets about 4.0 whp so the second best to injen sr from what i have found . the dealer only aem is about 2.0 or 2.5whp. WATCH out it is not carb approved as per aems website but pending approval. I got mine for a decent price of 207 shipped but if given the chance again I would get the injen sr to save like 45 or 50 dollars and it IS carb approved those two intakes are the only one's I would run on an xB .

Here is the AEM from Toyota that is approved and includes the bypass valve. The other AEM CAI's on here come without the bypass valve.
