Default Air intake question

Im too lazy to search so here's a new/old post.

I have a SR intake. I'm not sure if I didn't install it right or if there's a loose piping but, everytime I startup my xB, I heard a loud vaccume noise... but surely it goes away when the car is "warm".

Anyproblems? Also, when would I clean my intake filter? after how many miles.. THANKS.

sounds normal. you probably just notice it more when it's cold and right after startup

How funny to talk about taking my intake out because today I got into an accident... OUCH.. yeah out of all the scion xB owners in here, I am one of them now...

I just hope that my bumper and front end will get fixed... I should make a new post to show the damage done to my baby ARRRGHHH!!

ouch... sorry to hear about your luck! that totally blows!

my roommate just got a brand new aveo ( ) but we were on our way to the carwash and some a$$ in a huge rusty old ford truck backed into him... he'd had the car for 3 days and it had 75 miles on the odometer.

best of luck with your repair!
