I have discovered a few noises under the hood and after replacing the motor mounts (that was fun lol).It got much quieter so now i have narrowed it down to the alternator. I thought it might be the hood, but If I push the alternator towards the drivers side it stops. there doesn't seem to be a bolt for side to side movement. It mostly happens when the car is in drive and at idle. the rattle stops after getting up past 1500 rpms. Makes idling at a stop incredibly annoying (I shift to neutral). I think i should also say that lately i have been having the lights on the radio go screwy very dim or everything is lit up. if I restart the car the lights are fine. Any help would be great. I did a search and couldn't find this problem addressed.
