Apex'I S-AFC or Neo
Does somebody use the apex'i S-AFC 1or 2 or the neo for tuning their car? If so, was it easy to install, does it do a good job with tuning/adjusting, any problems you ran into? And where did you get it?
Please only repsond if you have it or did have it!

install was super easy, took me about 15 min to install, but i have done quite a bit of wiring in the past.
tuning... this item is completely useless to you unless you have supercharger / turbo / nos.... if you are naturally aspirated this will do nothing to give you power tuning wise. our engines have learning ecu, which will compensate for any changes you make to your fuel map, unless said changes are done only at wide open throttel...
although benifits are slim on a naturally aspirated engine, you get a batery meter, A/F meter, throttle position sensor, and a few other guages in the unit, but performance gains are slim to none.... now if you can get your hands on an ECU from the toyota eco which does not have a learning ECU, you can make all the changes you want to your fuel map, and get a decent tune on your engine.
if you happen to have a forced induction setup, disreguard all the info above, the afc2 is very usefull in tuning and bringing the mixture back into spec after adding injectors/fuel rail/turbo set up. pretty much need something like the afc2 or the greddy Emanage.
do more research before you buy.... if you are running a stock motor there are better spends of your $ to get power gains.

Thanks for that reply. At this moment I am running all motor. But Eventually I will have the Power enterprises supercharger and more...
I was just searching what the better tuning product is for our unique learning ECU. And a side from that, I have an 06 XB. There are issues with the greddy e-manage. So, I was looking for my different options. I used the search engine here and couldn't find a forum that talked about apex'i.
Thanks again for you reply.

sadly, not many people use the apexi with their xb's. i love it personally. as far as what you need to tune, the apexi will be great once you get the SC.. the only main difference that really matters to anyone that is not a PRO tuner, is the fact that the Greddy has a Datalogger built in, and the Apexi doesn't.
I have a datalogger and I had an innovative LM2 wide band kit before. I am going to get another one for better tuning. For now, I can datalog, but I am just searching for the best option for an my 06 xb to tune.
Thanks for you replies!
