Default DC HEADER?

Just saw it on the store section of the site.. is it out yet? any gains? price? DC makes good headers for hondas...

Just got off the phone with DC.. ETA is 3 weeks from today...NO MSRP as or yet NO estimates in power gains

Just answered my own question. HA!

The guys at SEMA were telling me they saw upwards of 11 WHP with the header and rear section exhaust. If thats anywhere near true than with the replacement of the midpipe, there should be an easy 15 horses to the wheels with the intake, header and full exhaust. Maybe, if we are lucky, a little ecu tuning may even give another 5.

Too bad it doesn't work that way. You can't assume that the 5 hp you get from the intake is going to just add in to the header and exhaust combo. You may actually lose hp.

Unless you're running forced induction........i don't think headers are an exceptionally worthwhile investment. While they will probably give you higher flow and better power in the upper rpm range........might end up robbing low end power.........which honestly........is what us Scion owners need to be focusing on the most..........cause there is not much point in trying to force really high speeds out of our tiny engines, and boxy cars. If you were running an SC......i'd say hell yeah......go for some high flow headers.

But if you planning on going the N/A route, headers are a must. Agreed that good power making headers are going to rob your low end power. No matter what. Now Mid range power would be helped with a 4-2-1 header, but that robs top end, and honestly with these smaller four bangers thats were we are going to make all our power. and honestly coming from a turbo, I'd sacrifice all that low end get up and go for some massive ball sack streching, cheek flapping top end.
