at the filter, or at the manifold?

the injen uses a 2.5" filter so i'd assume that it's 2.5" at the filter end of the intake

it seems kinda weird to make a 2.5" intake since the maf plugs into it since the stock maf size is 2.25" thew intake i'm making it's gonna be 2.25" and the mad is gonna be moved down about 6" away from the tbody for less turbulent airflow

Peppy, You are on the right track.... you need to move the maf 13" from the throttle body, that's how far away Scion placed the maf. You will have to extend your maf wiring but that's not a big deal.

The AEM intake is the only one I have seen with the maf located correctly. Most have it mounted within a couple of inches of the throttle body, you are correct-air flow sucks in that position....

my intake is being made by a guy who's built maybe race cars and he knows all abotu this stuff so he is putting the maf 6-8" away from the tbody and he says that will be fine so i trust him
