Forgive me if this question has been asked before but I honestly couldn't find an answer here. New member and new xB owner.

I had my 2006 xB RS3.0 scanned and it came back with a P0445 Code:

P0445 Evaporative Emission Control System Purge Control Valve Circuit Shorted

Simply Googling it and checking various forums came up with nothing for me. Seems odd, but it's true. Lots of results for other cars and different models...

Also, it's not the gas cap.

The car isn't getting getting great hwy mileage and sometimes smells like gas when I park and walk around the car.
