Default Fuel Cut??? WTF!!!!

Ok, not sure if anyone else here (with forced induction) has experienced this problem. I got the turbo install all done and I go out for a drive.... 1st gear, pulls hard and builds about 7psi. Slap 2nd gear hit full boost about 2800rpm and the car feels like I am running out of gas (engine bogging)..... The car only does it when under a hard load... If I am gentle with it, its still there, but really not bad... Just curious if anyone else has heard of this and what is the fix....

Right now I am running factory fuel pump and factory injectors.... Fuel regulator is at 45psi...

agreed....need a more robust fuel sustem, not just higher pressure.

but what i dont understand is that with the supercharger from PE, they just upgrade the pump... O well, I will just have to get my injectors and everything in....

if it continues to be a problem this is what i suggest. theres this 18 year old kid in NE whos really good with turbos. ill PM you his address if necessary. he can work on it, figure it out, and send it back to you in a timely manner granted he may run it on his xB for a couple years... but when you get it back... itll be awesome!

seriously thought, i think darren hit that. your ECU is de-powering because it sounds like you have a lean fuel mixture. new injectors i think would probably solve it. if that doest work, time to mess around on the fuel/timing controller you have. if that doesnt work, send it to the kid in NE...

actually wouldnt that be your computer tripping out because its see positive pressure on the intake side... This happens to all N/A Toyotas that went turbo.... Its not that you dont have enough fuel ... Your ecu is pulling timing because it see positive pressure instead of atmospheric pressure...

Ok, I adjusted the wastegate back to 5psi and closed up the gap on the plugs a little, it is all better now. No CEL and no bogging... All better...
