Default Fuel Pump not priming

Hi gang,
about a month back I stopped driving my XB until I could fix my bad water pump. This past weekend I finally had the weather cooperate and the time to get in there and pull out the alternator and water pump, swap the new pump in and put her back together. not a fun job.

After reassembly, she will not start. I can hear the relays click when turning the key to ON, but I do not hear the couple seconds of fuel pump priming.

The car has power, and will turn over excellently. but she will not start. Nor do I smell any fuel. She started just fine before the procedure, and the fuel pump kicked on fine before. Also, the spark plugs and air filter are only a couple months old.

Any ideas or suggestions to troubleshoot? I need to get her back and running ASAP!

Thanks!!!

Just found a comment buried in one of these threads that the early scions will cycle an under hood relay, but NOT actually power the fuel pump until you start to crank, and I verified that cleared up my own issue in getting the box running again.👍🏽

Do you mind telling us what relay that was?
