Default How long does it take the car's computer to reset itself

Hey I installed a cold air intake on my xB, it has been running fine for a few days and today i realized I never disconnected my battery, so to be safe i want my computer to reset itself to make sure everything works fine. I disconected the battery for about 60 seconds today, the clock reset itself, but i didnt loose my radio presets. How long does the battery need to be disconected for the computer to proporly reset?

That should do it for you without worrying about the time.

The computer does not learn or forget or remember. It manages the engine in real time responding to instant data.

On the other hand, when I switched from 87 to 93 octane, I forgot to disconnect the battery so the computer still thought it was 87. Then I remembered to disconnect the battery for awhile, so the computer would relearn the 93 octane. But it made no difference, so I want back to 87 octane. But after a few months the mileage got so much better that maybe the computer remembered the 93 octane. I can't keep it all straight ;-)
