Default Intermittent Rough Idle

Hi guys,

I'm hoping that someone can help me out. I have an '06 Scion xA that I'm quite a fan of so far. However, I have encountered a slight problem.

The car starts and idles fine on a cold start. However, once warmed up, the idle tends to "hunt" a little, but only intermittently. It is by far the worst on a hot start (eg. after refueling), where it feels as though the engine is about to stall.

I have been battling an engine code (PO171, lean code) that only arises once again, intermittently, and only while idling.

The car has a Strup axle-back and a DC Sports SRI. I have already cleaned the MAF, and checked for air/vacumn leaks. I am considering going back to the stock air box, as none of these issues arose until I installed the intake.

Before I go back to the stock box, does anyone have any other input as to what might be the issue?

Default Easy Fix

Can of Sea-Foam, New Plugs and Air Filter.

Do the cheap and easy things first.

I did the plugs, coil pack and new IAT but what actually fixed it was new motor mounts. Did all three. About $95 from Rock Auto plus $250 in labor.
