Invidia g200 axel-back
Well, I've had it for almost 2 weeks. Finally, here's a review.
Build: The Exhaust itself is extremely well-made. Super clean welds. The body of the muffler is larger than most of the axel backs you see out there. I would say at least 1.5 to 2 times larger in diameter. The entire exhaust is polished with a polished titanium tip. There is some heat coloring of the tip, but it is visible only at certain angles with a certain amount of light.
Sound: I don't have anyway to get a sound clip, but I will try my best to describe it. When first installed, I really coulnd't tell the difference between it and the stock muffler. However, I guess these is a certain break-in period, because after two weeks and a about 200 miles of driving, there definitely is an increase in sound. At local street cruising speeds, 25 to 45 mph, the tone is a good sounding deep bass that becomes louder and higher pitched if you rev the engine. On the freeway at 55 to 70 mph, you definitely know you don't have a stock muffler. It has a noticeable deep tone. I do have to say this though. I use my XB as a daily driver. A few times a week, I do take the freeway. For city driving, the exhaust sound cool, but man, I took a drive down to south Orange county the otherday and the tone from the exhaust gave me a head ache! DROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!
But it cool. I think this is expected of most aftermarket exhaust systems. Perhaps a silncer would help but it's not that bad. I just haven't become acustomed to it yet.
One concern I had was, that because of the muffler body's large diameter, the front of the body cann bang up against the right rear spring, requiring some work with the exhaust hangers. Make sure you have everything aligned correctly.
Peerformance: Okay, with just an axelback, we're not going to be blowing away any STI's or EVO's any time soon. And I won't say that I'm the most in tune with my car, but I did notice, at least I perceived, that maybe, there was some slight increase in horse power. It could be just the sound and vibration though.
Overall impressions: Visually, I really like the look of the exhaust. From the rear wheel well, you can see that you have something neat underneath because of the large polished body. The tip is large and looks "hot rod-ish" which is fine with me.
I purchased and had the exhaust at Robear. Robert and the crew are great and I would recommend them in a snap for all our Scionic needs.

The only car that I ever put an aftermarket exhaust on was my Fiat Spyder back in college (Anza). If I recall, it wasn't really loud.
Other than that, I've never had much experiece with exhausts. The other day, though, while at the market, there was this Nissan Sentra SE-R that had an aftermarket exhaust. Man was that thing loud!
I really like the exhaust. The picture sux, doesn't really show it, but the opening of the tip is 3 and a half inches in diameter. That's huge compared to the stock unit!
As for the drone, I don't know if the car being an auto has anything to do with it. But.............................to alleviate it, I just turn up the music!
