Put your OEM intake back on, and take it to the dealer.

Re-set your ecu, mine did the same thing. Also make sure your MAF sensor is clean, sometime they come with too much oil on them and foul the sensor

Do that first before we try to move forward. \

Did you wipe the inside of the intake out before you installed it? Many of them have residue and stuff inside that can foul the MAF.

WIpe the inside out as best you can. clean the MAF, let it dry, reset the ECU. After you restart it, let it sit and idle for 10-15 minutes with an occasional revving of the engine. This will let the ECU recognize the difference in the intakes. Then take it for a drive and report back to us.

I had the exact same problem...it when for about a month untill I called K&N and they called me in to the R&D department ,they keep my car for the day but gave me a 05 magnum to drive...they said they needed put hose clamps on both ends of the crank case breather tube because it was throughing off the o2 mixture...they put the clamps on and 9 months latter not problems and 37mpg on 20'' rims...

These intakes have a ton of crud inside them, even name brands.
I found a few large flakes of metal in my Typhoon. Listen to TheScionicMan: make sure that you wipe that thing out even if you've fixed the problem.

My Typhoon came with clamps for the crank case hose. I can't remember if I was missing one or if I just liked the squeeze kind better, but I used a squeeze clamp on the intake end and o-clamp on the engine end. The o-clamps can tighten that tube to what looks like way too much.

Good luck!
