The blue light is low engine temp. It will stay on until the engine is up to normal temp range. If you have an auto, it will not shift into OD until the light has gone off. If you have a stick don't over-rev it while the light is on.

You need to read that book again--the blue light is a cool temperature light...........

Default blue light

The light is for low coolant TEMPERATURE not low coolant LEVEL. And yes, the light goes out after the engine gets to operating temperature.

Other than that??????? It's a type of safety feature so you know when you can drive more spiritedly with less chance of damaging the engine. I wish every car had it.
