not to burst your bubble, but it can't. And by the way the trd exhaust does nothing for power.
Don't worry you didn't burst my bubble, regardless of wether or not the trd exhasut does anything for performance, I beat another silver tc on the way home from school today. Sorry bro.

A manual XB with I/H/E can SPANK a stock automatic TC any day of the week. Been there...done that .

auto tCs are slow, it's a known fact. feel free to try your luck against a manual tC, though. there's a HUGE speed difference.

Just refrain from racing a manual XB . Nobody likes losing to a box.
The look on my victims faces after I've let off and applied my brakes so that they can catch up...PRICELESS!!!

I'm doing a 16.28 1/4 mile (legit race track)...so far - needs tuning. The best I've seen an automatic TC do is mid to high 17's.

tc's run 15's xb's run 17's thats not even a little bit close.
you have serious problems if your running 16's with a turbo, zpi's turbo xb runs 14 flat last i checked.

OOOOHHH looks like I offended a TC owner
MANUAL TC's run 15's. We're talking about the stock AUTOMATIC here - get with the program
The last I checked, ZPI has yet to sell 1 production kit. What you saw was their prototype. So get your facts straight If ZPI ever got their XB production kit out on the market, it would hands down kick my a$$ and yours as well. But I'll still be spankin' them AUTO Tc's.

I'm not sure how they came about with that info, but I can say for a fact that an auto TC doesn't perform the same as a manual. I don't know what type of trans you have on your TC, but if you haven't tested the other type, try it out. You'll notice and feel the difference in power.
As for the ZPI kits, are you sure the 3 kits out there are not the prototype kits? It's such a coincidence that you say there are 3 out there, and ZPI made 3 prototype kits - which are being run by scionlife members. No one has yet to say that they have an actual production kit installed - except for one guy who was a ZPI employee, so I don't really count that as a production kit since it was like an in-house hook-up.
16's is decent concidering my location which has a super high humidity level. I'm sure it'll be much faster if it ran stateside. But I'm just running on the preset E-manage program for now. With better tuning, I should be able to extract more power and speed.

i used to work for toyota of colchester and when the tc first showed up on the truck we unloaded them and raced the auto against the manual (track cars for salesmen of course ) we actually railed on them pretty hard. We also built a supercharged one for consumer reports (literally right down the street from us)and i have been to the test track and talked with the drivers of all three cars. Unless your a good manual driver and your racing from a dig theres not much at all to gain. Scion even held an event where they races manuals against the auto and the most comon problem was people trying to manualy shift the autos and hitting the rev limiter. But power braking at the line with the auto helped greatly and wheel spin control is easier with the dbw with an auto.
As far as the zpi kits all i know is there was one ripping around ct for awhile before his tranny exploded, hes also only 18! and yes there are a few on here as well, i dunno maybe they are all prototypes but it is on there site for sale.
Get your car tuned or some better tires.

Yeah, I believe that would be Billy - ZPI sponsored prototype kit. ZPI's in the works of slapping a TC tranny into his XB.
Tuning...Definitely - once I install my Profec E-01. As for the tires, I'm running on Drag Radials - can't seem to smoke'em during the burnout though. I guess I need a little more practice.

I can definately hang with tCs and if you throw some curves into the race I'll take them on the outside and win. tC power is overrated and people dont realize what the box is capable of...
