Well it is for looks, but also serves a usefull purpose.. The oil catch can goes in-line on your breather hose that comes off the engine to the CAI. It is there to catch the oil that bleeds off from the top of the manifold, so as not to foul your MAF sensor.

Wow, ok. Well I hope there is plenty of room for a good fit. At least it does something the better the cars functionality and It should look great also with all the new parts I am getting.

yeah, a catch can is useful for your intake manifold, I dont know if you ever looked at a manifold with 60k miles or more, but its nasty filthy with oil deposits on the walls, even "induction system services" sold at shops won't remove a fraction of that crap. I highly recommend a clean intake system, and this is the biggest thing you could do to keep it that way.

I was told by the mechanic that installing this would put on the CEL light so I did not put it in. Gonna sell it on EBay.

too bad it also makes your car illegal in any carb state as well as a bunch of others jumping on the bandwagon.

First off your mechanic does'nt know what he's talking about .I've been running that catch can for a little over 4 months now and my light never came on and before that I was running the NRG catch can for two years without any problems. If you want me to I'll post up some pics of mine just PM me and let me know.

Grrr, yeah I never can tell 100% if a mechanic is wrong or not since I do not know about cars. It's a high performance shop not just a regular place so I took his word for it. Next time i will have him install it.

Thanks and yeah I would love to see pics just to see where you put it
