Default tC motor swap into an xB... Any thoughts?..

Hello...

This is my first post.... just picked up a used xB for 11,000.
I have always had highly modified vehicles....and have an interest in putting in a Turbo tC motor into my new xB.

So since I am "Newbie" to this board and to the Scion community.... I Respectfully ask for your help and opinions.

And yes I did a Search.... Also I have access to a tC motor...

Thanks

1 word, impossible! If its not impossible it will probably cost you the 11k you used to buy the car just to swap in the engine. The engine mounts are completely different.
Right now the only engine that was able to fit in our small Scion is the 4S-GTE, if I'm not mistaken.
Only 1 person has done the swap successfully, but i haven't heard of anyone else swapping any other engine into our tiny cars.

Sorry, buddy but looks like your stuck with your 1.5L 108 Hp engine.

Nothing is impossible, with the right amount of money.

Putting a 2.4L 2AZ-FE in a NCPxx chassis will be a lot of work, pretty much replacing everything in front of the firewall.

The better bet would be either a 5E-FTE Frankenstein motor, 1.5L Turbo or the 3S-GTE 1.8L Turbo, but in ANY case it will be a good bit of work & will not be cheap.

I hope you have the resources ($$) to get the 2AZ-FTE (Turbo'ed tC Motor) into an xB & you get it to run well, please do a write on the process or get with some manufacturers about maybe making conversion kits.

Good luck in either case.

you could not have searched, and if you did: you did not read the results....
