transmission failure

Hey guys I was driving last night and it came to a point that I could no longer shift. I could push as hard as I wanted to and it just wouldn't go in gear. Any ideas what may be wrong?

If you are pushing as hard as you can, you are probably ruining anything else that is good........... It should go into gear smooooth! check linkage and clutch, or take it to a mechanic....

I changed my 5 speed Sunday after church. Took me 6 hours. Got a used trans for $350. It sucked, but I was expecting it to suck more.

Shift

Make sure you shifter is still connected.

After that pull the transmission and look for carnage.
