Default uh oh problem!

so today we had a really rainy day up here in canada
and i was driving home and my car sputtered and shut off
so i thought that was weird so i tried to turn it on again
and it sputtered and died
and kept doing that
i was on a busy street
so i finally got it going and i had to rev it really high to keep it going it was jerky for a while but i got it going
and now i noticed that teh traction light engine light and i think the transmision ( i cant remeber but i will check) warning lights on the cluster are on?
all at once
it also is reving really high around 2000 rpms at red lights and stuff
i dont really want to take it into the dealership ebcuase in canada they do not sell scions so i have to take it to a toyota dealer ship and they are very usless when it comes to my scion
so any help?
any ideas? has this happened to anyone?

thanks cole

btw its a 2005 xb

you dealership shouldn't be useless when it comes to scions. your xB is basically a glorified toyota echo. so they should be able to pull the codes, examine and test the engine and pull up whatever service procedures are required to fix it.

scion=toyota mechanically, there is nothing inside your box that should make a toyota dealership go "oh gosh, i don't recognize a thing in here ehh."

dont get me wrong im sure they could help me
but i took it in there once and i had a cord hanging out the back
it took them 3 visits to diginose the problem and then fix it but they ordered the wrong parts 2 times and i havent took it back there since
they have been a hasle to deal with

someone backed into my car and they sent the wrong clips to the place that was fixing it and i have never had more problems with a dealership
everyitme ive been in there its been a hassle

on a good note i filled up with gas today which costed me like 50 bux but the lights went off! im so happy and the idling doesnt seem to be as high it is more in the 1000 rang so maybe it was just bad gas and a piston misfired or something?
