An exhaust may free up a couple of ponies, but you won't notice anything.

With new headers and exhaust, you may feel a slight difference, but once you get used to it, you'll think that all it did was change the sound of your exhaust.

You may want to just put the $$ into other mods...
K&N's typhoon intake improves HP by 8.1 hp... which is MORE than a complete exhaust system will add (header, high flow cat, and catback) look at peoples dyno results... not much room for improvement over the stock exhaust other than making it louder.
8.1 horsepower......dynos rate 3 at the wheels.

Yep, the K&N isn't really better than any other intake. It's all up to where you'd like the intake to be...
I've driven an AT xB with a K&N and it still felt slower than mine.
The best mod you can do to feel like you're a bit less slow is have a MT.

Typhoon it is. Did you buy it from K&N, or somewhere else?

I agree with K&N 100%...and their service is matched by none!

For what one has to pay, the gains aren't that great.

That depends on your POV. I just paid $200 for an Injen CAI and if I could get the same gains again for that price, I'd slap down the 2 bills right now.

I'm not concerned with peak hp gains, it's what it does over the whole powerband that I care about. The increase in response at low rpms, from a stop and the increase in acceleration that allows me to give less pedal for the same acceleration is key to me. Plus, it's saving me a little gas without me having to slow my driving habits...

Really thinking about that header now...
