The shop is contracted shop from Tom’s and TRD, so I assume the info they released is very true. However, the bB in Hong Kong is exactly the same model in Japan... and the Blitz SC they used is the one for the bB of course

To answer your question...
I think it will work because we do have xA here with Blitz super charger installed
But I really worry about the manual trans with Blitz SC because bB in Japan is automatic... And Blitz normally will not spend too much time in R&D for US market...

I don't understand your concern. If it doesn't blow the auto tranny, you shouldn't be worried about the manual. Might need to upgrade to a stronger clutch, but that's about it. Automatics are what you need to keep an eye on when making a significant power increase.

 

i read somewhere that we have a plastic pulley, that is why TRD has decided to go with a turbo, otherwise they would have to change the pulley also. The Japan models do not have this plastic pulley.
i guess it makes sense, the intake manifold is plastic also. pretty soon they'll have an entire car from plastic. lol.

 

no plastic pulley here, i checked it out when doing my oil change...mines is metal thats just a rumor. I like that open-deck bb tho pretty sweet!

 

Whut the hell? Pulleys are NOT that expensive. I think you got some bad info. If TRD actually stated that they prefer TC over SC for the Scion because they didn't want to fabricate a pulley, I will NEVER buy a single TRD product. That's horse____. I also don't believe that we're turning belts on a plastic pulley. What the hell kinda sense does that make? Exactly which pulley are you referring to?

 

What style blower is that? Is it a Roots or a twin screw?

 

Since the Blitz SC was designed originally for use on bB and since that is automatic will the xB auto be a cinch to install?

I remember reading that our auto xB has different/higher(?) gearing than the bB so, would there still be the concern for the autos not being to handle getting all that extra juice? Is there a proven track record of the kit in Japan, China or anywhere?

Also, does the Blitz SC kit make any type of intake a foregone conclusion and irrelevant?

No real experience with any type of super-charger but, when put into our Scions does it increase the engine noise in the cabin, at all?

What is the maintenance on an engine with an SC installed?
