i've been researching swap possibilities for the xB/xA for some time now and i will say this... if the ZZ engines are an option *which i have strong suspision that they are infact an option*, then i will tell you right now, if you use a 2ZZGE *which is found in the XRS* then you are retarted... the 2ZZGE is a top end engine only and has ZERO "get-up and go" abilities. it's meant to go insanely fast. the 1ZZFE however is the best ZZ to go for and on a built motor can see 300+ easy *i've heard of upto 450hp/torque*. i actualy had planned on stoping by the dealership tomorrow to take a few pictures to compare size ratios to see whether or not the 1ZZFE can fit with adjustability in one way or another by doing a one meter aligned photo shot. what i mean by this is measuring a dstance of one meter from the front radiator suport that goes across just behind the front top grill and then a hight measured from the same point of one meter. this will give a realistic comparison between the two.

as for my suspision, it tells me that if the battery were relocated somewhere else and the battery tray was to be removed then it would help it quite a bit for room, specialy for turbo applications. also, being that the C60 trany has been proven to fit already on the xB with very little modification to the frame work, that would mean the normal 5 speed C56 would fit aswell and just as fine. being that the 1ZZFE is a bit bigger then the 1NZFE, this would call for more frame work. this could mean you could end up doing your own custom frame piece on the left side just to use the trany in the first place which would be alright in my eyes being you could integrate some custom frame bracing to help with the added torque aswell. so you see, even if it seems too much of a headache, it also creates even more posibilities once it's in there and running.

but since this seems to be in a fire, i will post the pictures i take tomorrow to settel this.

also... Scion-XRS... that is infact a matrix bay... i know it all too well already in my researching... and even if it was a rebuild... it wouldn't look like a matrix bay for one... and for two, why the h3ll... if you spent all the money to swap the engine.... would you paint the engine bay silver on an enamel based polar white xA? i'm sorry, but that kind of color mixture in the engine bay is not that appealing in my eyes... if it was flat black or something like that, then ya that would be great... but leave the silver on white for the decals...
