All, I have an '05 xB with a howling water pump (I have 118,500 miles, BTW). I've removed the alternator and am working on getting the water pump out. Any tips on removing the bolt on the bottom of the pump? What a pain!

Get at it from underneath. That is what I had to do with mine. Also you are going to have to lossen the motor mount bolts or remove them so that you can jack the engine up a few inches to get the pump out. Once you figure out how to get these things out they are easy.
